Last week, I travelled to Amsterdam with my mom. I stayed there for three days and I loved it there! The weather wasn’t very nice though. It was windy and it rained almost everyday. I was so sad I couldn’t wear my favorite hat more than 10 seconds before it basically blew away. But… I loved the atmosphere. There were so many amazing places that you can visit while you’re there: the Anne Frank House, the Rijksmuseum, Red Light District and the amazing canals that are placed everywhere around the city!
There was a looong queue in front of the Anne Frank house, as you can see at the pictures above. We went on a monday and it opened at 9 am. We arrived at around 9.20 am. I read on different web sites that it was smart to arrive an hour early, because it was such a long queue. And they were totally right! We waited around 2 hours, so it wasn’t that long of a wait, at least compared to what everyone was saying. There’s a sign that you see when there’s only 45 minutes left to wait and thank goodness (!!!) for that, because you get free wifi. You are not allowed to take any pictures inside the house, so I only took pictures of the long queue and the entrance. I really recommend going there, because you get to experience the entire house from beginning to end, and see the bedroom Anne Frank spent most of her time.
Have you been to Amsterdam before?
